The start of the next edition of Expo Salud 2026 is fast approaching. From November 10 to 12, at Espacio Riesco, hundreds of exhibitors will showcase the latest innovations in the industry—a particularly crucial year, given that it marks the beginning of a new administration and the changes that come with it.

Naturally, this transition brings a series of new priorities within the Ministry of Health. Guidelines that the new minister herself, May Chomali, was quick to clarify. In statements published by Diario Financiero, the Health Minister noted that “the ministry’s priorities concern the cancer waiting list, treatment, and early cancer screening.”

Indeed, the issue of the cancer waiting list is one of the major problems facing the healthcare system today. More than 15,000 people are waiting for treatment, making it a key issue in the 2025 presidential campaign.

The challenge is immense, especially considering that cancer has become a major public health concern in our country. And it is these issues that also form the central focus of Expo Salud 2026—an event whose objectives align closely with those set by the Ministry of Health itself.

This year, the trade show will place a strong emphasis on innovation and trends—specifically, solutions in digital health, artificial intelligence, telemedicine, and hospital management. In addition, the event brings together decision-makers, professionals, and delegations from hospitals and clinics in Chile and Latin America.

Furthermore, its international conference brings together experts in management, quality, and innovation, featuring certified panelists and workshops. Additionally, this year will see the inclusion of a major health-related sector: the pharmaceutical industry. This approach involves analyzing the healthcare landscape in a much more comprehensive manner, encompassing all its constituent sectors.

It is worth noting that the current minister participated in Expo Salud in 2024, when she spoke on behalf of the National Center for Health Information Systems (CENS). This institution will also be part of the expo in 2026, where they will have the opportunity to discuss the field of healthcare data management.
